We keep it simple.
Tabula Labs Kft. collects only the personal data it needs to answer enquiries, run client engagements and meet its legal obligations. We don’t sell personal data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t use tracking pixels.
Who we are
The data controller is Tabula Labs Kft. Registered office: 1016 Budapest, Tündérlaki mélyút 3. Hungary. Company registration number: 01-09-376545. Tax number: 28844019-2-41. For anything related to this policy, email hello@tabula-labs.com.
The rules we follow
We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information.
What we collect
When you contact us: your name, email address, company, and whatever you choose to tell us in your message.
When we work together: the business contact details of the people we work with at your company, and the information needed to invoice you and keep accounting records.
When you visit this website: the site is hosted on Framer, which gives us anonymous, aggregated statistics such as page views. These statistics don’t identify you, and we don’t use them to track or profile anyone.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
To deliver our services and manage the engagement. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
To invoice and keep accounting records. Legal basis: our legal obligations under Hungarian accounting and tax law.
To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site useful.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to a project are deleted within 12 months of our last contact. Engagement correspondence is kept for the length of the engagement and up to five years afterwards, the general limitation period for civil claims in Hungary. Invoices and accounting records are kept for eight years, as Hungarian accounting law requires.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete or anonymise it.
Where it’s stored
We keep data in the European Union wherever possible. Some of our providers are based in the United States. When data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards the GDPR provides, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How we keep it safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. These include access controls, two-factor authentication and encrypted connections.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your personal data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or give it to you in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and withdraw any consent you’ve given at any time, without affecting processing that happened before.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tabula-labs.com. We’ll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you think we’ve handled your data wrongly, please tell us first so we can put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11; www.naih.hu; +36 1 391 1400; ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use data you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you by email.
